We are extremely proud of the wider range of sporting activities we offer at Hotwells: we encourage our pupils to take part in several sporting extra-curricular sporting events across the year and we are also pleased to be part of the Ashton Park Sports Partnership.

From 2013 all schools receive additional funding to promote and develop sport. To find out more about this funding and how it is being used at Hotwells Primary School, you can read our School Sport Premium Statement.

The Primary PE and Sport Premium is additional government funding provided to improve the quality of physical education, physical activity and sport in primary schools.

Swimming outcomes:

• 60% of Year 6 pupils can swim 25 metres.
• 75% can use a range of strokes effectively.
• 75% can perform safe self-rescue.
